ABOUT ME

I am an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. My research focuses on educational large-scale assessment and evaluation. Before coming to IU in 2009 I spent several years working for the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA) in Hamburg, Germany.

I enjoy international research and largely focus my studies on how large data sets can best be created and used by researchers and educational policy makers. I am currently working on projects in Afghanistan, Austria, Germany, and Ireland. Additionally, I continue to collaborate with the IEA and OECD on the design, implementation and analysis of educational large scale assessment data.

I teach courses in evaluation and large scale assessment.
